It's been another week of visiting autumn/winter press shows here at IH.
It's truly bizarre to be looking at throws, blankets, roaring fires and other winter warmers and then heading out on to a sunny Oxford Street clad in floaty summer smock and flip flops.
Shows that we've seen this week include Asda's 'back to school' and Halloween ranges, that'll be in store from late August.
It was all very OTT walking around a creaky old house decked out with hanging skeletons, spiders, pop-up coffins etc. My favourites were the tombstone shaped chocolate truffles complete with R.I.P. message and skulls – very classy.
Then on to Laura Ashley, which is always worth waiting for, as the set designers like to go totally overboard and have some fun with their displays.
New themes for autumn include elegant Parisian style, more on the black and white front and (my favourite), Enchanted Forest, which features cool blues, icy whites, silver and lots of shimmer and sparkles.
More shows to get to next week…and pretty soon we'll be getting ready for Christmas in July!
