One of our favourite home-grown companies, RE, is the perfect place to look if you're after something out of the ordinary.

Check out its recycled, rescued and restored finds, like the oil-drum picture frames and old garden tools, as well as vintage-style buys such as souvenir scarf cushions, Welsh woollens and Scottish quilts.

Our favourite is the collection of vintage 19th and 20th-century pressed-glass cake stands. As they are original items the designs vary, and they look beautiful grouped together on display or simply piled high with cakes.
