What do you do? 'I mainly write the shopping pages and news pages, so I go to press shows a lot! I love the fact that I get to go shopping and can check out products before they hit the shops!'

Best decorating tip 'When you're trying to paint a very straight line, don't use masking tape as it's sticky and can rip off layers of old paint. Instead, I use Post-It Notes. You need a few, but they come off easily and leave a lovely crisp line.'

Worst decorating mistake? 'Several involving paint... most memorably a sickly green bedroom, a dark blue bedroom and what should have been a chic off-white living room looking pale pink instead!'

Most suprising thing? 'I finally passed my driving test aged 40'
