'I'm responsible for overseeing the house features and kitchen and bathroom makeovers in the magazine. That means finding them, writing about them, styling the houses for the shoots and things like that. I love my job as I get to meet real readers and see what they've done in their homes.'

Best decorating tip 'I love fabric and keep any leftover pieces or samples to make cushions and bags to finish a room off, although every so often I have to have a good sort out otherwise my house would be overrun by swatches!'

What do you love best about working on Ideal Home magazine? 'I love seeing inside so many reader homes – all of the clever storage ideas and design tips that I can steal for my own house!'

Most surprising thing? 'I'm really indecisive when it comes to my own home and decorating - I see so many good ideas that I get bogged down and don't know where to start!
