A new take on traditional florals using large prints and pretty chalky pinks with cream. Whilst some of the popular floral patterns are bold and brash, the designs used here are subtle, feminine and easy to live with.
How to get the look:
• Use pattern on the walls and at the window, then team with off white furniture. Pretty it up with a small floral motif on cushions and bed linen. Flashes of deeper pink give the room a sophisticated finish.
• Introduce a few splashes of deep colour and strong patern, such as a strong bold stripe to balance pretty cushions and throws.
• Paint an alcove or feature wall to break up wall to wall florals, in a soft colour picked out from the wallpaper.
• Fussy walls and fabrics need to toned down with simple furniture so the effect is relaxed rather than chaotic.
