Transform a boring bookcase

Give a piece of tired furniture a new lease of life with some bright Cath Kidston wallpaper.

Shelves can be bland at the best of times, stuffed full of odd bits and all your mismatched crockery. With a bit of boldly patterned wallpaper and tape, you can give them a mini makeover that will make you want to keep them a little more in order.

Carefully remove everything, and measure the back area of the each shelf. Draw these rectangular measurements onto the back of the wallpaper, and then cut out the shape. Stick onto the back of each shelf to instantly brighten them.
