Finishing touch: Painted vases

Rejuvenate old bottles by turning them into beautiful vases.

Inject fresh colour into your home by simply swirling a little leftover oil-based eggshell paint inside empty bottles of jars.

Any clear glass bottle of jar will do – but look for elegant detail and interesting shapes. We used a mineral water bottle, a sauce bottle and a posh jam jar.

For best results it may need a few coats for the full matt effect.

Leave to dry for 24 hours before use.
