Choose the right tone
Yellow always looks darker on the walls than in the tin, so opt for a mid-tone yellow if you're going to use it on all the walls in the room.
Pick out co-ordinating accessories
All shades of yellow work well with citrus tones, so go for accessories in zesty yellows and lime greens.
Add touches of fresh white
Team with white furniture and a neutral floor for a light feel.
Think about the orientation of the room
If you're using yellow in a south-facing space, choose a shade slightly paler than mid-tone to avoid it being eye-wateringly bright.
