How to cover a shelf with fabric

Get creative with fabric and cover a shelf with some remnant fabric that matches the rest of the room scheme.

You will need:

  • A shelf needing a makeover
  • A piece of heavy cotton fabric measuring 10cm longer and wider than each side/length of the shelf

How to do it:

1 Remove the shelf from its brackets

2 'Wrap' the shelf in the fabric, with the raw edges at the back, and use a staple gun to fix it in place.

3 Fold the corners as if you were wrapping a parcel.
