Go luxurious
You often walk about bare foot in the bedroom, so keep it soft under foot and choose a carpet with a deep sumptuous feel. A Saxony style carpet is perfect for the job. It may flatten more easily than some other carpet types, but most bedrooms are low-traffic areas so this shouldn't be a problem.
Opt for soothing shades or neutrals
Create a soothing backdrop in the bedroom with carpets in soft shades or neutrals. Very busy patterned carpets can sometimes be over-bearing for a room meant for sleep and relaxation.
Think about your budget
It's usually best to spend as much as you can afford on a carpet, but as your bedroom is a low-traffic area you can get away with a lower cost carpet.
